MEET
Kate Zepernick
I started my career in management consulting, where I moved quickly up the ladder—and just as quickly learned that technical excellence only gets you so far. Overnight, the skills that made me successful (analysis, execution, drive) were no longer enough. What mattered now was leadership.
That realization shaped the next chapter of my career. I stepped into a senior leadership role responsible for people operations at a top professional services firm—where talent is the product. I saw the same pattern play out again and again: high performers stalled in their careers not because they lacked intelligence or ambition, but because no one had ever taught them how to lead. Others were promoted and then quietly struggled, unsure how to operate at this new level.
I became deeply passionate about closing that gap. Over the last 15+ years, I’ve built leadership and performance programs at scale, coached leaders one-on-one, and helped rising and established leaders alike make leadership feel clearer, lighter, and far more effective. I’ve coached C-suite executives, developed high-potential leadership pipelines, and taught top students at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business.
At the core of my work is a simple belief: leadership is a skill set—and skills can be learned. When leaders learn how to lead well, their jobs don’t get heavier. They get lighter and their impact compounds.
Too many women opt out of big roles not because they lack capability, but because leadership becomes unsustainably hard. I help women stay in the room—not by pushing harder, but by leading smarter.
When you work with me, you’ll stop spinning, second-guessing, and over-deliberating. You’ll learn how to step into your authority, make decisions with confidence, and thrive in leadership roles that once felt overwhelming.
